Greek and Roman Art

Although better known for its collection of medieval objects, the Byzantine Collection at Dumbarton Oaks contains substantial holdings of ancient art. The pieces include fine examples of Greek and Roman marble sculpture and large-scale bronzes, as well as smaller works such glass, jewelry, and ceramics.
