Description

This tubular pendant depicts a closed human right hand with a beaded cuff around the wrist. A curled-nose animal head, whose face points into the cuff, completes the other half of the pendant. The cheek and eye of the creature are lightly delineated, and a circular earflare adorns the side of its face. Although the work’s frontal surface is somewhat worn, traces of a red accretion are visible. The reverse of this rounded pendant is plain, and a suspension hole was drilled through its length.
